Singing matters. It transcends intellect, concepts and beliefs. Singing allows us to connect at the level of the heart. Our world needs this.
The study of singing is a doorway to self-discovery, connection and courage. When singers come to me, I look deeply into what they need and how they learn. We proceed with technique, discipline, release, and being present. I talk about things that matter: opening hearts, taking risks, and making the connection with self and others. I aspire to give my students the tools to sing well, share themselves in a way that they affect others with their work, and the confidence to do these things. Through our work together, I hold my students to a high standard while being kind. And I provide a safe place for them to grow.
